Who met in the middle of nowhere

Whose hearts had been hit

By the arrows of Cupid.

On the swing

Playing like little kids

Caring less what others think

This was just our beautiful beginning.

Walking on the beach

Holding hands

Just us, no one else

With our bare feet

Leaving our love prints

On the sands of time.

On the park bench

Listening to the sounds of nature

The birds singing us a love song

The clouds forming our hearts.

Two hearts

Beating in synchrony

To the symphony

Of our own melody.

But Now, It Is I Alone

In the middle of nowhere

My heart has been hit

By the arrow of deceit.

On the swing

Crying like a little kid

Wondering what others will think

Of a beginning that was once splendid.

Walking on the beach

My hands in my pocket

Watching lovers at sunset

Every step of my shoe print

being washed away

By tides and waves.

On the park bench

Listening to the sounds of nature

The birds singing me a plaintive song

The clouds forming tear drops.

One heart

Beating in synchrony

To the symphony

Of my own melody.
