Into The Deep

Where more than the thoughts count

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 8 months ago 1 min read

Things I never say

*

*

I take off my sweatshirt

My socks and my shoes

That have covered the hurt

I’ve got nothing to lose

I keep my head down

So that no one can see

My smile hides the frown

That has devoured me

I lift my legs over

And sit, still, on the ledge

Leave a note that will cover

Things that I’ve left unsaid

Just one forward motion

One simple step to be free

Drown out the commotion

And become one with the sea

Instead I take a deep breath

And get back in my car

that line tween this and death

Is just a little more blurred

You really expressed the challenge around a decision like his. So often, many get to that point and do not turn back, sadly.
