Ink and Silence

The lost poet is this the end?

Ink and Silence

Black ink, blue eyes

See through tears.

Words on paper

Match my fears

Thoughts don’t settle.

Lines won’t flow

The pen just sits

Got nowt to show.

I blink, I breathe

I want to write

But silence stays.

From noon till night

I search the page

For something true.

Help all I find

Is shades of blue

The ink runs dry.

My heart feels cold

A story untold

That never grows un told.

But in the quiet

A spark will light

And the words will come.

When the time feels right

Let’s hope it is tomorrow

Or tomorrow night

That will make it ok

everything will be alright

You see, believe me.

The ink will flow,

The words will be free

once more poetry will flow .

About the Creator

Marie381Uk

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
