With over 40,000 recorded deaths,
and the expected actual total being over double that,
What do we do now?
They are trying to escape
but they are killing them.
They tell them to evacuate
and then bomb the safe zones.
We donate and try to get food in
but they hijack the aid trucks.
They are mistaking air strikes for aid deliveries.
They are delivering food that is inconsumable.
The journalists are trying to show us what is happening
but they are being murdered too.
How many war crimes is too many?
Why won't the world wake up to what is happening?
And when will the world stop making excuses?
Is it because they are Muslim?
That can't be right. There are Jews and Christians there, too.
Is it because they're not white?
Is it because they speak Arabic?
What is the problem?
Why does the world care less about them?
Why is it that 40,000 people is deemed "collateral damage" or "war casualties"
but if it happened on our land
or if it was happening in Europe
those terms would never be used.
It's not a war.
But you're sure quick to call it that.
It's a genocide.
War crimes are inexcusable.
No matter where they happen.
I wish this was fiction.
But every time I open social media, I am reminded that it's not.
How many bodies of children do we need to share?
How many rape stories? Bombs? People trapped under rubble? Beheaded children? Families burned alive? Malnutritioned children who starved to death?
How many?

I wish we could find a non violent solution to this for all. Any actions against innocent people and children needs to be condemned and prosecuted. The people of Gaza deserve and need quality care, food and medical. It should never be about the people, these conflicts are not justified to allow groups of people to be targeted just for where they live, their beliefs or their history.

I don’t understand how this is war at all- it is an all-out genocide. 6 hostages died and the word is on fire, while Gazans are being slaughtered daily. Gazans are hostages too. Hostages on their own land. The Palestinians kidnapped and held in inhumane conditions, being tortured and worse- hostages too. But there’s no probe about that. No big stink. I ask the same questions as you; is it because they aren’t white? Probably. Is it because they speak Arabic? Maybe. Fuck. It’s just disgusting and it just won’t end.
Hamas is a real problem and they're being funded by Iran. Without making excuses, this is a war. It's a terrible thing but extremists are still as alive and well as they were on 9/11. We have to remember that and we have to recognize that fighting against those that would commit terror attacks on unsuspecting countries is the only way we don't let terrorists win. It's sad, but at the end of the day it's the truth.

I don't think it will ever end. With the world against Russia, people forget they're an important balance check to the USA. Love them or hate them, their having power after the Cold War kept the USA in line in many cases. Now that Russia's power seems to be a relic of the past with the current Ukraine war. That feeds into the Israel vs the Middle East. The USA heavily supports Israel with no opposition to defend the other middle eastern countries against the country USA backs. Allowing Israel to make open threats to surrounding neighbours that they will be bombed if they send aid to the Palestinians. Any criticism and people will label you anti-jewish. Without an actual opposition that can put USA/Israel in check in the middle east, they then get to dictate to their neighbours without scrutiny. The only way this changes is if the USA gets someone in power who doesn't actively support what Israel is doing to its neighbours by sending them millions of $$$ and weapons or if a new opposition rises up to put USA/Israel back into check.
Wow! These crimes are senseless and so sad. Makes me realize that none of mine or any of my friends or family problems compare.
