Inconveniently Yours

You know how sometimes someone gets on your nerves, but you don’t really wish any tragedy on them because it’s not that serious, yet still annoying enough? Might be just me, but in these situations, I’ve found myself having the following thoughts.

I hope you get your sweater sleeve stuck on front door handle.

At an unexpected power outage you can’t find a single candle.

When you go to wash your hands a drop drips down your arm.

A click from the window won’t turn off your car’s blaring shrill alarm.

And random thread inside your sock gets stuck between your toes.

Before the first date pimple huge on your forehead grows.

I hope you mix up salt and sugar when drinking morning coffee.

And that they have misspelled your name, should you get a trophy.

I hope you forget the toilet paper on a quick store run,

especially when back at home you have absolutely none.

I hope you get a tiny pebble in your fancy shoe.

And that blueberries would stain your teeth oh-so-very blue.

I hope your pinky toe gets hit in the bedroom dark.

And at the bar when playing darts you completely miss the mark.

I hope just before you leave for boring long event

your phone’s uncharged, sitting at only ten percent.

I hope your zipper sticks when you’re in a hurry.

And when asking for a mild, you get extra spicy curry.

I hope your Wi-Fi cuts out in the middle of a show.

And going home from work on friday, traffic’s extra slow.

I hope the autocorrect changes words you never wanted to

and you get your fingers stuck when using liquid superglue.

I hope your tea goes cold, the plate in your microwave goes missing, and you can't find that thing you put down just a moment ago 😂
