In Your Head.
"Instructions For Disappearing" Challenge .

Play this song while you read:
Step one:
Find the crack in their thoughts. It’s small
a flicker of guilt,
a pause between curses,
a dream they can’t quite recall.
Step two:
Slip in sideways.
Not as a scream, but a whisper.
A name they swore they'd forget
but now can’t scrub from the walls.
Step three:
Become the echo.
Repeat nothing , just be repetition.
Every time they blink,
you are the pattern behind their eyes.
Every lie they mutter,
you are the taste of iron on their tongue.
Step four:
Anchor yourself in their shame.
Find the moment they cursed your name
and nest there
build a palace of cobwebs and ash.
Invite the spiders. Let them spin.
Step five:
Make their thoughts misfire.
Turn their envy into static.
Reverse every spell
until their mouth speaks backwards,
until their hands forget how to hex.
Step six:
When they call for help,
answer in their voice.
Mirror their fear.
Watch as they chase their own reflections
down hallways with no doors.
Step seven:
Leave clues, not footprints.
Let them think it’s madness
not justice, not consequence.
Let them circle the drain of your name
until they forget theirs.
Final step:
Do not leave.
Become the rust in their magic.
The blur in their mirror.
The thorn in every thought
they shape against you.
You’ve disappeared now,
not gone
just everywhere
they can’t escape.

Whoaaaa! I love how revengeful this is! Just my style!
Love that song :) Really powerful writing to accompany it, I love the lines about spinning webs and ash, feels like your words are imbued with magic— the imagery is so clear and emotionally weighted. Great poem, once again!
