in this thick air of the past
a Shakespearean sonnet

my windows bathe in the mornin’ sun daze
instantly brightenin’ my dusky thoughts
injectin’ a flash of comfort – bright juice
into my kaleidoscopic, clear eyes
*
it feels like on a plane for the first time
I stare at the poster: blue, yellow smudge –
an advertisement of unearthly white
promise of an unforgettable feast
*
words gathered from journals documented
all my past adventures and misjudgements
they don’t want be shushed with one gesture
aware of their worth in the writer’s hands
*
I will arrange them all in soft phrases
once more for the sake of future dazed glare
