In The Park

I hear your voice

In the Park, when you call my name

I hear your voice

when you play that song

I sing along with you

tapping my dapper toes

to the beat of the City

when you turn up the music

I surf the sound waves higher and higher

hanging ten on my SUP

remembering you, enjoying you, appreciating you

even more now, in this instant…

mystified

along these golden shores

I ride her waves

reflecting on times together

glasses raised

drinks shared

tales told

we chime again and again

and…

In the Park, when you ask me a question

I hear your voices…

and respond laughing, joking, Ha ha

“All is Well!”,…as I awake from a long sleep, I have

never felt better!” when you ask, “Does that hurt?”

don’t worry…cuz that don’t mean

Nothin… “Here in the Park, that don’t mean Nothin at All!” I can laugh and play, sending you messages of hope from the sea

reverberating off rocks

sailing from whispy shores

trading humorous stories

and gratefully treasuring all

these awesome moments we get to share together
