In the forest I wandered

On a day that was warm and fair.

My little sister was lost.

I did not know where to turn.

Soon therew was some dark cluds.

I saw lightning light up the skies,

Then the roar of the thunder.

The rain came pouring down.

I thought "She must be cold and scared"

And feelng so alone.

I'm sure she feels like crying.

I hope that I find her soon.

I heard wild animals

And saw the scampering squirrels.

I walked on rustling leaves

In the cold autumn air.

I felt helpless and discouraged.

The rain was still pouring down.

I asked God to stop the rain.

My hunt for my sister seemed to go on and on.

Soon darkness setted in.

I laid down on the cold wet ground.

I could not sleep at all

Because I was worried sick.

Just then heard a voice loud and clear.

"Go to sleep, the weather will soon clear up."

I will protect your sister

Until you see her again.

I slept off and on that ight.

In the morning I saw the sun.

Instead of me finding my sister,

She found me instead.

As joy filled our hearts,

We hugged and cried together.

Grateful the sun was out,

We began the long walk home.
