In The Deep of Sorrow

My Heart

In the depths of sorrow, my heart does ache,

Lost in a love that seemed to be at stake,

Why this happens, I cannot comprehend,

Our love, once vibrant, met a bitter end.

In twilight's glow, we used to dream as one,

Two souls entwined, beneath the setting sun,

But now, a chasm where our love once thrived,

In shattered dreams, my wounded heart's deprived.

The stars above, they weep for love's cruel fate,

As we, like comets, collided, then separate,

Why this happens, a question left to skies,

In love's vast cosmos, we were just fireflies.

In silent nights, I hear your whisper's ghost,

A phantom touch, the love we cherished most,

But distance grew, our paths they had to part,

A fractured love, a once-unified heart.

Our love, like music, played a fleeting song,

A symphony of feelings, right and wrong,

Yet, in this silence, where our love resides,

A melancholic tune in two separate tides.

Why this happens, in the universe's scheme,

Our love's demise, a tragic, broken dream,

I'll cherish memories, in the tears I cry,

For love's lost moments, never truly die.

Though love may fade, and time may steal away,

The echoes of our love, in my heart, will stay,

In poetry, we find solace for our pain,

A testament to love that once did reign.
