Despair Keeps You There

Down the stairs

Into a deep

Dark depression

In the earth

In your soul

There you will stay

Shrouded in a veil

Intricately woven

By the spiders

Creeping in the corners

Of your tortured mind

Caught in the tangles

In the webs of deception

You are left

An empty husk

This is so concise and yet so psychologically intense! You efficiently pack of lot of deep, visceral feeling into clever words and images. Great work!
