Dear Instant,

How were we to measure your value. How can your worth be surmised?

Is it in a kiss or final farewell?

Maybe you are best measured by the emotions you infuse. Marking us, casting imprints on our memories, creating an insatiable desire for more.

You are in all things, vibrant and mundane. The driving force of trying and giving up, beginning again and letting go.

Ever changing, evolving, becoming. until everything we know - is different. Better or worse holds no influence.

Still, we go on.

Ephemeral, you are gone, captured briefly in the wisp of breath, a sigh or laughter. A temporary passing, notching our souls, imprinting forever your merit.

I anticipate what joys you will bestow, in a while.

Contemplating the possibilities

    Fantastic, Kelli!!!!

  • That desire so oft demanding we do all that we can to hold onto the moment, only to find that not only that moment but so many others which followed are lost. How much better it is to look forward to discovering what the moment portends, to capture not the moment but to be ourselves caught up in the flow. I liked it, Kelli. I really liked it I hope you can tell that.

  • Wonderful Kelli... I love it...
