In a Place, Between Here and There

Between my desire and my reality

By Ana MartinezPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

In a place, between here and there,

between my desire and my reality,

like an impetuous whirlwind

the thought seizes my mind;

like an electric current

that awakens every one of my cells,

runs the blood through my veins.

In a place, between here and there,

ecstatic between my desires and my reality,

I have lost the battle,

surrendered before the challenge

of having everything

and having nothing.

In a place,

between here and there,

my kisses run to reach you

and are met by a curtain of wind

that majestically drags them

into the abyss of silence.

In a place,

between here and there,

I heard your voice calling me.

My eyes overflowed with joy,

and I searched for you among curtains of ideas,

with the burning desire of my hands

to touch you.

I searched for you…

In a place, between here and there,

I felt your eyes upon me,

and I searched for you desperately,

with a heart ablaze

to be consumed in the fire of your love.

In a place,

between here and there…

I searched for you.
