another year of isolation

negotiating my worth, my value, begging you

not to disregard me

“invest in me, I’m worth it, please see”

venting, raging

eviscerating fear,

regretting, releasing,

scintillating tears

another year of isolation

realising my worth, my value, attracting you to

yclept me as part of you

I hate that this is still happening for you. Powerful words. Congrats on the TS and good luck in the challenge.

  • Excellent… beautiful lines like: “ scintillating tears”. I’m with everyone else: yclept sure got me! The things you learn 😳.

There are so many cool elements to this poem! I love how the acrostic word of 'anniversary' plays such a large role in the content of the poem as well! And, like others have mentioned, 'yclept' was a fun word to learn! I definitely had to Google it! Awesome work!
