A poem by Rowan

By Rowan RileyPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

The light returns

Just as it recedes

Be patient with the cycle

Give space for the transference of energy

~

You are a cyclical body

You are a vessel for energy to flow

Through and with and between and around

It is practical and it is prescriptive

~

Go outside and seek sensory experiences

If you touch the soil, it sings

If you taste the wind, it whistles

If you hear the life around you, it hums

You becomes part of that vibrant energetic symphony

~

Reconnecting with what nature offers

It is hard, but it is just as easy

It defies expectation

But it’s in your blood to do it

~

Burn a candle at your bedside table

Watch the bread rise in the warm womb of the oven

Wash away the grime of society

And let spring awaken in the way you carry yourself

Be like a child, and invite in that which the Earth offers freely
