Ignorance

Irrational

By Joseph SeveroPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

“Ignorance irrational;

The insolence that maddens -

low bickering which fastens foes on opposing ends of cabin doors;

Automatic habits bore

- Hollowed out the inside - tore;

Seems like they must tally scores -

compare them to their neighbors more;

Faux to face - invectives shiv behind the back

- Attack -

Vulnerabilities or fears are wound in casts;

Wounds that ooze with poison sap vitality

- The noises clash: Cacophony -

Hot potato, hot potato

- Point the finger at the enemy:

“He’s the problem if I say so”

- Self-pity, self-pity: Sing a shallow ditty -

Say I am the best, feel the worst - it’s sorely shifty:

Ego burns: The doubts returned -

Self-defeat receipt - recieve the taller tales and lies;

I wonder what would happen if we all just acted right.”
