Ice in the South

props to those without power

To all the citizens of this great township

stay inside please lest this ice make you slip.

the roads are white and yes, sunshine prevails:

but underneath the surface danger sure hails!

The winds have blown and caused many stirs,

beneath the cracks heard lie arms of pines and firs.

Winter temps continue to drop and cause freeze

some think it great fun out in this kind of tease.

But lest you have good bones/insurance for health:

best not to engage in foolery: save your life & wealth.

Wrap your pipes (and also your buns.) Oh, faucets...all must drip.

Be kind: keep pets inside and be careful with steps: save hips!

Excellent take on the challenge… it certainly sounds like wise advice to follow.

Omg, this sounds a little scary! It doesn't get cold enough to snow where I live, so I just can't imagine this.
