If You Take My Hand

I'll Take Care Of You

People say you're not supposed to cry,

Because you are a man,

They forget men have feelings too,

My eyes fill with tears as I look at you,

Curled up,

Head in hands,

Sobbing,

You won't look at me,

Is it because I'm a man too?

My heart breaks to see you crying.

Then she walks in

She has another man with her who

can't even look at you,

"Grown men don't cry,"

He tells you,

I've never been so disgusted;

I ignore his stares as I walk over

to you,

I hug you,

I pass you a tissue though you still

won't look at me,

I continue to hold you as you

cry uncontrollable tears

And I say to you;

"If you take my hand, I'll take care of you,"

Because real men do cry.

    Everyone has the right to cry and let their emotions out. Well done.
