If you look, you can see anything.
even yourself.

I have been told there are colors that we cannot see.
How beautiful they must be then, to expand on a spectrum so cherished.
Could there be another shade of crimson to denote the rivers that flow through each of us? Each vein and artery chanting in unison, that even on a day where you feel you cannot go on, you must live.
Orange leaves dropping down around us. The dry crunch under the feet of children, or hurried students, racing towards their futures.
Golden sun on the face of a person who stepped outside to breathe for just a second. Chin tilted upward, towards its rays. Freeing them, if only for this moment, from the offkey chorus that drowns their mind.
Maybe there’s something between the emerald forests, that burst with solace and sanctuary. Mighty oaks stretching towards the sky, teaching us to reach ever upwards. Welcoming all of us there, to listen to the birdsong. To watch as the petals and points of grass dance amongst the wind; which lifts our hair from our faces, and our souls from the grips of gravity.
Cool, cerulean water rushing down the sides of mountains, pouring into streams and oceans. Carrying travelers, bending around turns and spreading out to both roar with wild and smooth centuries of stone.
How many shades of violet might exist in an iris, picked from a garden as the sun begins to set, and placed, gently, behind the ear of a loved one. The swelling feeling of pride and passion, the gentle feeling of home.
I have been told there are colors we cannot see.
And perhaps no, we cannot see them.
But we can feel them.
And inside you, these colors come alive. Shades and tones that are uniquely yours; brought forth to the earth when you took your first breath, and they are the oils with which you will paint the world.
See yourself, for everything that you are.
Treasure yourself, for all you have done and will do.
You are extraordinary in this universe, essential to this hidden spectrum – and even if I might not be able to see you, I can feel you.
And you are more lovely than I can imagine.
