If the World was Blind

A Sign of the Times Poem

By Ernest LemuelPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

If the world was blind,

We’d probably be fine.

We won’t be focused on race

But more focused on time;

Because time is all we have,

Not sure how much longer;

The thing that we fail to realize is,

Together, we are stronger.

Truth is, the world is blind;

We’re blind spiritually,

Failing to see the truth

And how the world is supposed to be.

Rather than seeing a person’s potential,

We look at their faults or the color of their skin;

Failing to notice that we, too, are imperfect,

Once we begin to look from within.

Let us all begin to remove the blindfold,

That has kept us blind and paralyzed.

So, we can’t start looking at life,

Through Heaven’s Eyes.
