I wondered to myself
Be still
And wait without hope
For hope would be hope for the wrong thing.
I can't stop thinking about you
Without tears, or noise or fanfare.
My life where someone is missing,
Yet my soul aches for you to return.
Maybe it's a blessing to go through hard times
A blessing for what needs to be asserted.
I need to learn to take care of myself
Before I can take care of someone else~

"I need to learn to take care of myself Before I can take care of someone else~" I agree with these lines.
I never can stick to the taking care of myself bit...I will do it later...many more things to do, other people to care for. So your advice...last two lines...Yep.
The last 2 linesโฆ
Awww, so sad but yes, everyone is better if they care for themselves first. Loved your heartfelt poem, Kodah!
