I (...) You
A poem of what you are allowed to say and not
I do love you
(I absolutely hate you sometimes)
I like sharing a home with you
(You're always here, I wish you'd go out more, see more people, do more, be less 'still')
I'm glad we committed to each other
(I wish I didn't feel so trapped and oppressed)
I like doing things together, going places
(I can only tolerate close proximity to you in small doses)
You offer stability, security and consistency
(You are far too cautious and stuck in routines)
Your caution and need for safety balances my spontaneity and wildness
(But Christ, it makes me need to rebel and break free)
You're a careful person
(So careful, I want to cave your careful head in at times)
You hate to break routine
(Come on, live a little)
I give all I can
(Need a break)
I try to love you back
(Need space)
I want to commit
(Relationships feel like bullsh*t)
There is no passion, or attraction any more
(Damn, I'm glad I have other outlets)
You can rely on me to try, and to support you as best I can
(But don't expect too much, find another to plug the gaps)
I do love you
(I do love you)
I do my best
(I do love you).

Kc - "I DO Love you"//Ye protest too much! "YOU' Just created a scene that no one on the face of the earth can't relate to. My favorite quote to Rita Louise was: "Im sorry, I was wrong and I'll never do that again, Probably!" Thank you for this...! Jk.in.l.a.
This was very real and relatable! Well written! Loved your poem!
