On a sofa for two
As the day's last light spills through
Curtains half drawn
Eyes half closed
The light speaks from your heart too

Words of easy encouragement
Help me muddle through
Telling me not to give up
To keep being a warrior for you

Sitting out under stars
We laugh and we stew
Putting the world to rights
Igniting both our lights
Until last orders are due
Fairy lights on trees twinkle
Making heart lights twinkle too

Kisses on lips
Tender words that slip
Out, unlocking my beauty
Makes me feel safe
Makes me want you
Makes my light shine through

Sing me a lullaby
Help me sleep the whole night through
Knowing your love is true
Makes my light break through
A shimmer
Darkness simmers
The light reflects you
And I see you
And only you.
