You forget I’m no longer naive.
I no longer fall for rainbows, trends,
Or the brightest shades of lipstick
A shot of whiskey won’t dandy anything up anymore,
A new set of clothes won’t excite me anymore.
I’m done with the days of dreaming of flying unicorns,
And seeing the world through heart-shaped glasses,
It’s not anything you give me,
Or anything you make me believe in
That will make me want you
It’s you, I want

Gosh this hit me so hard because it was so relatable! Loved your poem!
Oh, this is sharp, grounded, and so real! It's like saying, "I see through all the fluff now, and I’m here for what truly matters." That raw honesty at the end? Chilling! Simple, powerful, and cuts straight to the heart—pure vibes.💖
Put down in such a creative way and such a true feeling!
That person is the "enough" gift!
This was soo poignant and relatable. Love this! 💌
