I wore your sweater
It was large and baggy
And frayed by the teeth of years
But I wore it
As if a life vest
Bullet-proof vest
That with it
No one can reach me
No one can hurt me
With your sweater on
I can become someone else
Perhaps the person who owns it
Because I'm left shirtless
To the rawness of life
And I'm cold and hurting
Wanting one thing
Your sweater
And I wore your sweater
Last night
