I Thought I Lived for You

I longed for You.

I thought I lived for You.

I was mislead in what I thought was the real You, but I told You I'd never give up on fighting to be with You.

Each day I thought that I'd let You down, but little did I know You were carrying me around. 

I just didn't know it, Your foot steps so silent, they didn't show it. 

Your understanding of how I needed to learn in You was so complete. 

You were teaching me all along and today Your light just revealed itself so strong. 

My impatient ways would never have let you in. 

I wanted You now. 

I wanted to know and be complete in You now.

I felt lost peering through the veil and seeing just a glimpse of what lay in store for us after this alluring life so frail.

Feeling like salvation wasn't given to me, and that it was just for others to see. 

God give me Your grace and send Your Spirit to me.

Don't hide Your light from me.

Please send Your Spirit to teach me and quench the doubts that targets this weak flesh.

Please Jesus shield me from this constant battle which the fallen one uses to keep me from Your arms and loving protection. 

By Your grace You sent Your Spirit to teach me and comfort me.  To guide me in your direction.

By faith now I know You.

By surrendering my life to You, now I live for You. 

Because of Your love for me I now know Your presence. 

I want to thank You for all those times that although I was weak You never gave up on me.  Your Words in my ears a resounding resonance.

I now know You are real and know You are carrying me each day closer and closer as I get to know You better so I can spend an eternity for You.
