I Smile, yet I Break

Loving a Mirage?

By PSYGENIUSPublished 10 months ago 1 min read
Breaking me, rebuilding me

1.

I built you a home

inside the quiet spaces

of my lonely ribs.

2

Your hands- soft thunder,

breaking me, rebuilding me,

storm I call my own.

3.

Somewhere between love

and losing you, I became

a stranger to me.

4.

You let- but somehow,

you echo still lingers here,

haunting my silence.

5.

If love is a war,

then why do I still stand here,

begging for the fight?

6.

I stitched every wound,

wore my pain like golden ink,

and called it rebirth.

7.

Maybe one day, love,

we meet as softer version,

somewhere, whole again.
