It happened at a party you know this.

When I stood across the room the music sound.

I see him standing across the room from me.

His dark skin.

His chocolate brown eyes.

His long black hair pulled back into a ponytail.

His lips parting when he sees me.

This moment I see, love at first sight, I know this to be.

Shakespeare had nothing on this feeling.

This isn't a tragedy, but a new beginning.

He walks over his eyes having stars in them.

As he walks over he speaks to me.

"May I have this dance."

The dance we call courting across the room.

The dance of longing for you.

The dance of your touch.

"Yes you may."

As he leads me on the dance floor, and we dance.

I could feel a connection with him.

This I know to be true love, only the beginning of something new.
