Now I Can Say I Can

I said I can't all my life,

Now I say I can!

I will tell you how I did it so,

As long as you leave out the spam!

Everyone said I was "Full of beans,"

So I canned them in a can;

I added a few sprigs of leaves,

So I didn't need any ham,

My can was full but not quite there,

So in went Majory and Rosemary;

This was not enough to bring out my I can,

So I chunked it up with ham.

My mum looked at me and she said,

"No silly, food goes in a tin!"

I told her I was making new brains,

To make my I can insane.

So now I tell you, this is true,

I said "I can't" all my life,

My little can of goodies means,

Now I can say,

"I can!"
