I Pray It Is Tame

for a while

I hope you find joy from the harvest you planted and forgiveness from the one you didn’t.

When your soil dries, I dream you’ll make time to water the lilies most days and learn to release the ones who couldn’t survive their newfound independence.

As the sweetness of blueberries and watermelons lures the wild in, I pray it is tame, for a while, upon your sacred land.

And on those afternoons, when all you want to do is dig a hole and plant your limbs deeply into the earth, desperate for rebirth, I wish you a peaceful slumber among the other roots eager to bloom.

The fruits of our labors will either give us pain or something to savor. The fruits of one's labor will always attract others to the fray. It does not matter whether they are herbivores wishing to eat upon that was sowed, or predators that have come stalking the prey. It has always been the 'do's' from 'don'ts' and haves from 'have nots.' Since some have nothing and others have a lot. It's all a matter of survival of the fittest. No matter the strong, daring and bold are also in competition with the weak, timid, and skittish. As much as we wish to enjoy all the splendors of the lands A lot will only enjoy that which has been given and taken from the palm of their hands. There are those that wish to restart as something, someone, some being new. There's still much left in their current life that they must do. I thank You for Your words and what You must say. Just have others have done for me, for them I must go an pray.
