I MISS YOU, SON

Remember the days we shared the happiness of being together,

Life seemed faultless, away from grievance.

My soul will not break while memories still hold you near,

It broke my heart when you were taken away for remembrance.

Every morning, looking at your picture, I whisper my prayers,

I question why it was you rather than your old man.

Truth of not being able to talk, see, and feel, you left me in darkness,

But, in the light of a new day, it reflects the clarity of the mist of my brain.

It was a disease that took you away from me, left my life empty,

The fate played a lousy trick and changed our beautiful life into bad dreams.

Though your illness drove us into roads, dark and foggy,

At the end, all the pains ended, suffering ceased, and the soul flew aimlessly.

Your soul dances away to heaven, leaving me with lonely and tearful eyes,

I can't find happiness; into the darkness of the night, my joy of hope returns at the sun's rise.
