“I love you” in disguise
Love takes on a million forms, and can sound like a million things
“Text me when you’re home.”
“I thought of you when I saw this…”
“Are you okay, really?”
“I believe in you.”
“Be safe.”
“I’m the best version of me when I’m around you.”
“You feel like home.”
“We’ll get through this together.”
“As long as you’re happy, I’m happy.”

Happy love month everyone!!
I know this is far from a traditional poem about love, but I find that sometimes some of the most poetic statements and music to our ears can just be that one simple thing that you’ve always needed to hear. As an ode to love in general, I decided to write a free verse poem that pays tribute to some small ways that someone can tell you they love you through one simple phrase.
If anyone is open to sharing, I’d also love to hear something else someone may have said to you that proved to you that they loved you without actually saying those three little words.

This is so real! Sometimes, love passes through these simple or even short sentences. To join you here, my favorite line that I especially love is "coffee?" When my loved ones ask me to have coffee with them, it speaks volumes. ❤️ Happy Hearts Month~
Such a sweet and wholesome take on love! Sometimes, the simplest words hold the deepest meaning. “Text me when you’re home” always gets me—it’s care wrapped in casualness. Love really is in the little things. Also, “You feel like home”? That one hits right in the heart! ✨
