You say, you're not worried
But I see the tension writhe in your bones
You're thinking of all those times
When you were broken and alone
But, you see, those moments
As rare and few as they weren't
Taught us a lesson for the future
Taught us to rise while being burned
And as we fought with flames behind our back s
Breathing out the fire that choked us
We had learned to fight back
with blood. Breaking the chains that detained us
And within those ashes that were charred
to core. We saw how its black could bring us hope
How just a hand in times of darkness could
teach us the meaning of being loved.
And so I say this, lest you worry. Don't.
Let your fears dissipate
This momentary hurdle won't be too long
And soon, I will be back okay.
