Red, orange, yellow, green, turquoise & indigo.

Staked together screaming for attention,

Like those gays at the parade, being such an embarrassment.

I just don't like the colours.

Mama, it's the pride flag.

And what you said is very insensitive.

They are fighting for their rights,

to love who they want,

to exist without persecution.

Not under my roof, they can protest somewhere else.

it's a choice to be gay & I won't participate

in spreading their agenda.

I just don't like the colours.

Mama, it represents healing, hope & serenity.

The colours come together to show unity.

There are kids being abandoned by their parents for their sexuality.

Getting abused by the ones who should protect them.

Are you part of the LGBTQ, because I don't know where I went wrong.

You must be mentally ill,

let me book you into some therapy.

I just don't like the colours.

Ma, there is nothing wrong with me. I was born this way.

Nothing will ever change that. I'm still your son.

Does it change your love for me?

Why do you want to be such a rebel.

Destroy our family, ruin our reputation.

What will the neighbours think, the kids in school will make fun of you.

I just don't like the colours.

Why do you care what others think.

I just want you & pa to love me.

Unconditionally.

I'm tired of shame, fear, rejection & guilt.

I don't care whatever you are.

As long as no one ever finds out.

Be gay in your room.

Don't you dare tell anyone.

When time comes you will marry a girl & raise a child.

Be a man & stop crying like a girl.

She tears the pride flag & yells at me,

''I just don't like the colours!"
