I Do!

Finally!

By Alissa KnoxPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

July 22nd we set the date!

My future husband called the judge,

He said be here quarter after eight.

I threw on a little white dress

And some black sexy heals

In about 20 minutes we’re going to seal the deal.

As we’re walking together

Hand in hand. I look up at him and think damn this is my forever man.

As we approach the bench and start reciting our vows.

My new husband all of a sudden started to ball.

I can see the love on his face.

The warmth of his words. He didn’t have to say much for his love to be heard.

The judge finally said those magic words to my man.

I immediately interrupted out of turn and not my time, the biggest, yet smallest words of all freaking time.

I DO!

Without hesitation, my brain couldn’t hear. What the judge was telling me to say

But I made it loud and clear.

We joke about it to this day.

It was finally that time to kiss

His beautiful bride.

I married my soulmate, my best friend, my partner in crime.

All that’s left to do is celebrate with tequila and lime.
