I choose to sing louder than the lies that linger
~

Dear God,
I pray for her to stop emotionally traumatizing people as her hobby.
The demons in her are endlessly threatening and taunting me to visit violence.
But, I won’t,
as I sit in the shade of trees,
and on the front porch of your Truth and decrees.
There is nothing too giant in life that is going to rob me of the joy that permeates my existence!
There is no word that can cut too deep into my heart’s mind,
that can’t transform into forgiveness and an amicable atmosphere.
I choose to sing louder than the lies that linger and echo in the eaves.

This one hits hard but lands softly! Funny how sometimes the lies scream but all it takes is one honest line from our own mouth or heart to drown them out.
Powerful and redemptive. Your choice to rise above pain with truth and music is both brave and beautiful. Keep singing.
