I am

Even when I forget

By Tressa RosePublished 6 months ago 1 min read

Thoughts cascading like a wild rapid
While truth tries not to get swept away
Finding solace in the quiet moments
Where breath and stillness lay

Realizing that me putting up a fight
Is the exact thing holding me down
Weightless surrendering of ego
Is the only place peace can be found

Listening to ethereal transcendence
The hum of the earth buzzing beneath
Away from the noise of confusion
This is the place I find true relief

Moments and spells of amnesia
Make me lost I forget who I am
Remembrance strikes like lightning
The strength and truth in knowing I AM.

Excellent, emotional, beautiful. It reminds me of a journey of self-discovery where rocks get thrown our way, yet we still try to identify with who we are.
