I am Badger

Steely eyes peer out into the light

While the foreign stench of the two-legs hangs heavy.

Tiny, well-tuned ears twitch at each thump

As footfalls reverberate in my sensitive bones.

The loose dirt of the burrow tastes like comfort.

haha! This is perfect! I have encountered these darling, terrifying, fuzzy beasts, and you certainly did them justice here. Love this one!

Love that you took on a unique animal perspective for this one! Cleverly wrought, Dana!

This is fun and full of truth. Badgers look like cuddly little beings... but I have seen videos of them being almighty fricking arseholes lol. Well done on this, sir!

Furry little lunatic (yes, you). Love it! And no, I wouldn't want to come face-to-face with one.

I loved this but the whole time my mind just kept returning to that stupid video "honey badger don't give a shit"... 🤦‍♀️ This was very well written, though, Dana!! 😊
