I am but a broken yet dying breed

I am the roots, growing from my fathers seed

I am inexistent without the love that I seek

I am the whole world, but only that which I speak

I am the saint, no I am the extorter

I am a whole, made up by four quarters

I am so simply, but complicated at best

I am the host, but live as a guest

I am the anger that keeps you all sane

I am the happiness that causes more pain

I am the lost, even with my path paved

I am the beast, my rage will stay caged

I am but a human, the flesh and the blood

I am the angel, but never resided above

I am the belief, that gives truth to all lies

I am the life, the reason it all dies

I am not of this world, no I am not from this time

I am still a believer of things left behind

I am the love, the thin line before hate

I am the freedom, the reason for fate

I am a non-believer, the calling for faith

I am the outcast, why wont I retaliate

I am all peace, divided by war

I am infinity, but I always crave more

I am so selfish, yet I give all that I am

I am who I am, I will never be set

I am who I am, don't you ever forget

About the Creator

Michael Benhayoun

Writing became an outlet for me; My childhood wasn't easy, as I'm sure some can relate. At 8 I was adopted by my Great Aunt and Uncle who became my second set of parents. I was encouraged to write and now, it's how I say what can be said!
