What I've noticed about poems

or at least by myself

is that they are much more likely

to be read than essays or fiction stories.

And so, that is my choice of structure.

****

Humanity really marathons

for the easy life.

and so, even though poems

at times can prove a tough

spasm of facial muscles

they're read.

****

I've also been noticing

how many horror stories are

making it as top stories;

Contradicting with light

poeople claim to search for.

***

Human psychology is fascinating.

It proves just how

STUPID

people tend to be.

They'd rather drown in horror

than seek hope and joy.

***

Instead of charging

toward the army marching

toward their courage,

they completely abandon the

fight perfectly craved for them

and take a side road.

***

Taking side roads

is sometimes neceassary

but are sometimes used

as an escapade

to death.

***

Because, surprisingly,

death is mysteriously easier

to deal with.

Because if death surrounds me

I'm apparently "excused"

from fighting it.

***

But truth is,

A child's happiness is not real

because it was never tested

and never put to challenge

and so, never earned

it's honor of vitality.
