One day there was a boy not like most;
Who had a quantity of quirks, more fairy and feminine;
And so came judgments, brutal roasts;
Slurred many a dark shade of their doctrine.
Observing his outfits, others would scowl;
Learned to suppress and be inconspicuous.
Bleak his personality, cloaked in a cowl;
No longer sincere but surreptitious.
Yet in his soul pining from a pain;
Like an arctic blue benumbs the harrowing heart;
A constant reminder, barren remains;
Thus the desire for life did soon depart.
Like midnight black before the civil dawn;
Until a day when fate be found;
An angel glides across the lawn;
Drawing his dusty heart up off the ground.
True loves’ first kiss had gaiety abound;
Eureka! Darling! Here at last;
His mental health now safe and sound;
With a heart so full and love so vast.
Like a cascade of crimson roses in spring;
An abundance of beauty in every day;
Warm hues of sun shimmering all things;
Love is funny how it finds a way.
