How the valley garden died.

By

.

Although with a passion...

They sowed the seeds

They gathered and weeded

They care for the flower bed

.

But there were cost to meet

Expenditures to complete

Money not just passion -

To keep the cash balence out of the red.

.

Now it is gone

The weeds rule the plots

The grass is crappy

And,

All the flowers are dead

.

As when it came to the giving

To fiscal practicalities needed

Everyone thought

Everyone else

Would do it instead.

So sad. I hope you get lots of help for the community garden. My garden has a huge tomato plant and a lovely pepper plant which haven't produced anything. I think it's because there's no pollination going on. This planet is in trouble, I'm afraid. Very nice poem!
