THE WEIGHT SHE CARRIES Haiku 🌺

She screams inside Help

He lazes on the couch Help

Calls fall on deaf ears

♥️😢♥️😢♥️😢♥️😢♥️😢♥️

THE WEIGHT SHE CARRIES

She lifts the basket without witness,

cloth heavy with other people’s days,

creases pressed into her arms like proof,

that labour has a pulse and a name,

while behind her a glowing screen flickers,

and silence thickens in the room.

Toys scatter across the floor like questions,

dishes wait with open mouths,

a sink full of unfinished conversations,

and still she stands upright,

holding more than fabric and thread,

holding the shape of a life.

He scrolls through distant worlds,

thumb moving in easy rhythm,

unaware of the gravity beside him,

the quiet strength bending but unbroken,

the woman who swallows her tired words,

so the house does not split in two.

Do you know how loud exhaustion can be,

when it is never spoken aloud,

how it echoes in the ribs at midnight,

how it settles behind the eyes,

turning love into something fragile,

if it is not tended with care?

She does not ask for worship,

only partnership, only presence,

only hands that reach without being called,

only a gaze that truly sees her,

not as background, not as function,

but as fire keeping everything alive.

One day she will set the basket down,

and the weight will not be hers alone,

for strength is not endless,

and silence is not consent,

and when she finally speaks,

even the walls will listen.
