How do I know
That you will be here
When I lie awake at night
My eyes wide with fear
I can't hide from my demons
They know where I live
They have torn me to pieces
I have no soul left to give
My body is empty
It's just a shell that you hold
My heart has gone missing
My chest is hollow and cold
How do I know
That you will take the journey
No matter the price
And that you won’t hurt me
That you will
Retrieve what I have lost
Without a doubt
Despite the cost
