Hot Tin Roof

Cat-Tales

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished about a year ago 1 min read

Unknown monsters wear friendly faces

As she dons her favorite disguise

At night while prowling shadowed places

Glowing golden, yellow eyes

Taking on a different challenge

Becoming another for awhile

Learning how to create balance

Roaming round as a feline

Discontented with-her own life

She found herself now, living nine

Cuts the old out with a dull knife

Fancy feasts and paradigms

Wild and free she wanders daily

While new adventure wait for her

Hot tin roofs and dim lit alleys

Midnight serenades in purrs

Singing soothes her savage beast

A sweet young girl appears again

She curls up on her bed to sleep

With wild adventure in her veins

This makes me think of the comic about the witch that turned into a cat to get someone who loved her.
