i feel myself flattened by the sound that sun makes once it grinds into my day

The first reason I tell myself to start it gone by the time the sizzle of the breakfast and coffee is in my belly

Why do I need to keep these ghosts inside of me?

Why do the ghosts revel in the silent terror of the most common parts of my day?

They cut me down, cut me off——

The scream I feel deep inside, slides across the ivory-blood keys, dimming the light into pitch madness with a piercing wood that pierces me.

The light blocks the sound. The ghosts flutter by in the silver pieces of quiet that no longer play for momma

sizzle of the breakfast- great word usage. Love how the it keeps getting more sinister as you keep reading.
