Hope’s Flicker

In the depth of my despair,

I’m lost, with no one to care.

My dreams have all but died,

And my hopes have been cast aside.

I wander through life alone,

With a heart heavy as stone.

All the joy that I once knew,

Has vanished, leaving me feeling blue.

The future seems to bleak,

And hope is nowhere to seek.

The darkness seems to never end,

And the pain it brings is hard to mend.

But still a glimmer of light I see,

Through the darkness it’s calling me.

Hope, like a flame, it’s burning bright,

Guiding me through the endless night.

And through my heart may ache,

And my sprit may bend and break.

I will hold on to that tiny flame,

And I will never give up in the game.

For hope, through lost, can be found,

And with it a new life can be bound.

I will rise again, with the grace,

And I will find my hope in this endless race.
