There's no place like it.

There’s no place like “home,”

my favorite nickname for your arms.

The way you wrap them around me,

and keep me safe from harm.

-

The way you hold me firmly,

but sealed by a gentle touch.

The way they show me every day,

how you love me so much.

-

They provide a sense of stability,

no matter on land or sea.

Everything feels so grounded,

when your arms are holding me.

-

Something like a wishing well,

how you take away my worries.

Leaving me lighter still,

wiping away my mental burdens.

-

There’s no place like home,

in those open arms of yours.

Decorated with your efforts,

muscles grown from daily chores.

-

And no matter what the day brings,

I’m healed by the power of your embrace.

They’ll always be the power center,

my favorite resting place.
