Morning winter sun rises over gray skies
Stray flurries drift from the sky
Snowflakes grow in intensity blanketing the earth
transforming the world outside into a magical wintry land
There's a lingering magic as I gaze into the Christmas morning sky
The magic I saw last night looking up on a starry Christmas Eve
Christmas tree adorned with ornaments
each one holding a special meaning
gifts underneath, filled with gratitude
the aroma of nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon
each wondrously enticing, feels like Christmas time!
While the kitchen is warm with holiday baking,
may our hearts be even warmer with the love that surrounds us
May we all remember the true meaning of the holiday!
