Her storm.

Darkness, shadows, dwelling in the sky,

The heart in the deepest mourning, loss was all but nigh,

Where once the ground was full of hope, the abundance from the toil,

So wisdom quenched as waters stilled with the parching of the soil,

The fishermen’s nets lay bare for hours, the sun was hot upon the realm of sea,

Where courage was surely mustered, now fear had caused her to flee,

The storm had thundered in the heavens, the lightning hit its mark in part,

So is the realm of emotion, the depths of a woman’s heart,

The air was tight and shackled, as armor locked so tight,

Song birds could not release their piece, nor wings burdened able to take flight,

No peace from gentle rivers or the meekness of a dove,

For fires turned to a blizzard storm as she lost her deepest love.
